Happy Wednesday guys, I dare not say hump day because.. it’s just weird to me. Anyways, I trust you are having a healthy and happy day that is filled with good company and good FOOD! The weather has been warming up here and even though the cold weather didn’t stop me, it’s smoothie time. I will be pumpin’ out lots of new smoothie recipes so be sure to send in any requests you have & I will post them!
This smoothie is the real deal guys. Seriously, it is creamy, thick, tasty and nutritious. What else could you possibly want or dream of? It has the perfect berry to vegetable ratio and you can’t even taste the veggies SO, you know what the means: kid approved yah yah! Some of the ingredients in here might leave you with some questions and I don’t want that to scare you so let me break them down for you.
Maca Powder: Maca is an adaptogenic root. This means that it helps bring your body back to balance which is super helpful in the chaotic world we live in. It’s filled with more nutrients and minerals than I want to list & that’s a good thing! It helps with fertility, PCOS, mood, energy & your sex drive. Whoops! Here is the one I love.
Blueberry Protein Smoothie
1 c. filtered water
1 T. coconut cream
1/2 c. frozen blueberries
1 frozen banana
1/2 c. frozen cauliflower
2 c. baby spinach
1 small zucchini
1 t. maca powder
1 scoop protein powder (my fav)
-blend it all up
-top with cashew & cacao nibs
