Hormone Loving Grain Free Brownies

I heard you were looking for grain free sugar free brownies? I’ve gotcha, girl. No worries.

These grain free sugar free brownies are DREAMY.

It takes 5 simple ingredients to make these brownies and almost no time. Before you know it, you (and your kids) will be eating fudgy protein packed brownies for dessert with NO bloat. I’m talking NONE. They’re perfect for holiday parties, kids lunches and to have around the house. Best of all, they don’t have any yucky ingredients. Here’s another one of my favorite holiday recipes!

These brownies have been in my dreams for 3 weeks now. Luckily, I had all the ingredients I needed and had one last reader request them so, here they are!

Delicious brownies without flour or milk can be hard too find but not anymore. Grain free sugar free brownies that are also dairy free?! Say what! But they aren’t flavor free, don’t worry. Most importantly, they make one heck of an ice cream sandwich and they’re husband approved! Caroline’s Kitchen inspired me with the maldon sea salt flakes.

Looking for something delicious and chocolatey? These grain free sugar free brownies are just what you need.

What you’ll need

Gimme all the grain free sugar free brownies, please.

My sweetener of choice is maple syrup, it pairs perfectly with the tahini. Tahini is a made of sesame seeds and is a hormone regulator. You can use honey, molasses, coconut nectar or omit the sweetener. If you’re on the AIP protocol, molasses is a GO because it’s so so so nutritive. It is packed full of iron and magnesium. Did you 95+% of the population is deficient in magnesium according to researchers.. yikes. Cacao is filled with bioflavonoids that are linked to a  reduced risk in CVD. There are more bioflavonoids found in cacao than in red wine and even green tea! Remember, if you’re on AIP, opt for the carob. It’s just as delicious.

Tahini brownies that are grain free and sugar free

More science because.. it’s me guys

Hormone balance has been a major topic of interest in the past 2 years for me. Birth control wrecked my hormones and I ended up losing my libido, with missing periods and horrible hormonal acne. Obviously, I said enough is enough. Paper after paper, I read about the importance of diet with hormone balance and the need for elements, minerals and nutrients. When it comes to hormones, there’s no one size fits all and that’s why you MUST know YOU. What do YOU need, what makes YOU thrive, what makes YOU the best you?

Remember, each bite of food we take is either feeding our depriving our health. That’s why I keep healthy snacks and desserts around the house like these grain free sugar free brownies. They are low glycemic (won’t spike the blood sugar), filled with fiber (happy poops) and are loaded with protein (muscle synthesis and hormone regulation). These brownies don’t contain any yucky ingredients like margarine, GMO soy, conventional milk or artificial flavors. Simple, real and clean. Just the way we like it over here. Can I get an amen!

Even more, the optional mushroom powder adds a specific boost for energy and stamina. I used a mix of chaga, reishi, lion’s mane, cordyceps, maitake, shiitake, pore and agarics blazei. For short, it’s called Mason’s Mushrooms and it comes from an Australian brand called Superfeast. Now, what isn’t super about that?! They are all linked to increased energy, hormone balance, immunity and detoxification.

So, enough talking, let’s EAT the dang grain free sugar free brownies!

After two months of working with Ashlee, we got pregnant. She's kind, diligent and truly invested in my family and health. We tried for over a year to get pregnant with no luck after our first baby. I definitely recommend!

My back pain literally left, my puffy arms toned up and now I'm able to chase my baby boy around. HOLY CRAP, I was hesitant to implement the changes Ashlee always talked about on her Instagram stories (which led me to work 1:1 with her). Thank you Ashlee, from the bottom of my heart.
