Out of all the recovery smoothie recipes out there, this one takes the prize. It’s simple to make, cost effective and freaking amazing for your health. Plus, you can change and swap whatever you’d like so, who wouldn’t like it?
Smoothies are one of the best ways to give your digestive system a break. Whenever I’m feeling hungry but don’t want a big salad, chicken or a lot of avocado, I opt for a smoothie. Adding proteins, healthy fats and greens is a winning combo because they all work synergistically when it comes to absorption.
Having greens without fat isn’t a good plan because you won’t be able to get those vitamin A, D, E and K vitamins that are fat soluble. The protein and fat combo is killer if you’re trying to get a good smoothie that will actually sustain your energy. If you eat a blender full of carbs alone, you’ll likely get hungry 30 minutes later. I mean, I love to eat but I’m not a super fan of that.
