Turn the heck up, I’m 21. poppin’ bottles of kombucha & gettin’ lit… except not, I love my liver haha. I am not an anti-drinker though so, if you want to turn up on something more than kombucha, have one for me too; I know Jesus liked his wine 😉 Alcohol is just one of those things that I don’t have the desire to drink & I can’t find a reason to put anything other than water or booch in my wine glass. Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I am so blessed to have such amazing friends and family. Seattle was a blast and you can check out my guide to eating healthy in Seattle right here.
For my birthday I woke up and did a 6 a.m. yoga class, had a delicious breakfast at home (cooked by my husband), went hiking in the snow, had lunch at a local juice bar (duh) then went grocery shopping & nannying because.. adulating. The kids wanted to make me a birthday cake so we made one with Simple Mills mix (so dang good) & topped it with an almond butter avocado frosting 🙂 After all of that, we came home & made portobello mushroom pizzas and had friends over for games. You have to know that my friends are the greatest & they know me so well, here is what they got me:
- Justin’s peanut butter cups
- Endangered Species dark chocolate
- Coloring books
- Natural Grocers Gift Card
- Wedding photo collage
- Organic restaurant gift card
- Sustainable sports bra
- Freeze-dried backpacking meals
- Eat Dirt (book)
- Organic treat from a local bakery
Now, for the shot. You know, the expected 21st birthday shot? I did one! It was so good & made me feel so great. It was a mixture of pineapple, ginger, turmeric & lots more. The only kind of shot I would want. Thanks to the Wellness Tree! So today I am sharing some good replacement therapy for those of you who want to get away from drinking or, like me, just don’t have the desire to drink.
For some clean(er) options head over here. I was beginning to research beers/alcohol & then I was like “wait, someone has got to have done this.” Sure enough, I did find someone 🙂 Head to this blog post to find out about better options.
